All you need is a air powered DIY grinder with polishing wheels and polishing compound... of course... you use that after hand wet-sanding it for a week... but still... I worked my $11.50 ebay valve cover over in my kitchen sink, polished it, and it turned out to be the nicest part on my car.
i got really confused there for a second, but then i realized you weren't talking about me.

Man Apex'i made a bad decision there. I think I totally would've attacked those pipes with some paint...

[salute]hehe, red and blue in a white engine compartment [/salute]

actually it looked really clean, it was metallic but some bastards stole my charge piping, seats, stereo, nitrous bottle etc etc so i had to remake some charge piping and i painted that silver.

haha i can top that....they stole a 1 yr old pair of new balances AND the dirty socks inside them, then they took 1 bolt off my front upper strut tower brace and one of my headlight bracket bolts i mean WTF?

They cleaned me out good, took my tennis bag with 3 200 dollar racquets in it, my bel 980, my wheel locks (but left my week old rota c8s) and about 200 of my cd's. I got retail on everything back from insurance and bought everything at wholsale so i made some cash. Good thing they didn't steal my leather SI rear seats, those are a BITCH to find and GSR's don't fit.

LOL! might as well take the socks that comes with the shoes if its a pair right? heheheh i was also wondering about painting my intake pipe also. i had a polished one and my filter was a ractive with clear blue heatshield. i dont like the filter but it was free. i painted the heatshield blue my valve covers blue and my headers shield also. im going to take some pics and post it. i just tried painting them just to see if the paint would stick. or what with happen to the paint due to engine heat.
