Default Check Engine Light Is On

My check engine light just went on and I'm thinking that it's probably my oxygen sensor. Only problem is this, my fuel consumption really hasn't changed and I'm not noticing anything really wrong with the car. Someone suggested a dirty air filter and I was wondering if the del sol was sensitive enough to notice something like that?? Anyone know??

Well, did you check the code? That will tell you what is wrong.

My check engine light has been on for a month or so, because I tripped the sensor when I was removing the heat shield over my exhaust manifold. (oops!)

I'm too lazy to figure out how to reset it, and it doesn't really even bother me...but if anyone has a quick fix, feel free to post it here.

to check the codes, there's a two wire plug under the dash, near the ecu. It'll be pushed into a big green cover. Pop it out the the green deal, jump the two wires with a paper clip, turn your key to on, and it'll flash the codes. To reset, diconnect the battery for a few seconds.

That SHOULD be causing it to run in limp mode. Get that thing replaced, and you should gain back a few horse. Easiest way with it in the car, take off your oil filter, and do it from under the car when you do an oil change.

you know ... for the longest time I have been trying to find out where the hell it goes. It's near the oil filter? I need to get a knock sensor ... but Honda/Acura want $150 for it and I'll be damned if Im paying that much for a part no bigger than my thumb. I've tried junkyards, but every Honda I see with a b series motor has most of the engine parts stripped. I keep looking on ebay. One will show up soon.

yeah, right by the oil filter. It's a bitch to get to. The last one I changed out, the ratchet I was using broke, and the knuckle on my pinky finger slammed into something on the exhaust, and sliced it to the bone... So, be careful. Damn craftsman ratchets always breaking on me....
