Default Turbo vs. Supercharger (Discuss and Brag)

Alright let me lay it out for you. I'm wondering which is better in the long run. I mean each has its ups and downs. Here is what I think and I could be very wrong. Superchargers can provide more low-end torque (something I think alot of civics are lacking) and power boost from the start. They also MAY be more efficient/safe because they are self lubricating (at least jrsc). Turbos are definitely good around 3000 rpm at 7 psi but I am wondering how efficient/safe they are? BOVs and intercoolers rock hard too. Please discuss and use this as a time to brag about your ride.

Both the supercharger and turbo are reliable. It just depends on how you drive it..and maintain it.

I have a superturboNOS charger.

But I blew the welds on my mainafold, so I can't show you right now.

Anyone have replacemnt floorplates for a 2nd gen? Preferably diamond plate?

i'd get turbo for the customizability, upgradability, more usable powerband (at the top-end, where u stay the most during racing), and the sound of the blow-off

oh and they make plenty of torque, Jkan can vouch for that

we drive 4 bangers. the ac slows us down, why put another pulley on for even more drag?

You increase the efficency (sp?) by going turbo, you are using your exhaust (waste) to make you more power.

That pulley will always be on, and always adding drag to the motor. True you get power quicker, but a well desgined turbo can net large horsepower gains with minimal drag.

for purely an everyday driven street car, i'd have to say turbo. under normal driving, i see the same or better gas mileage outta my ex compared to stock w/ bolt-ons. i even have a new fuel pump, fmu, etc... also, i beat a gs-r with a jrsc on the same boost i was running (6lbs at the time). i think it's cause i'm intercooled mainly...and a better driver possibly too. the badass factor of a turbo is so much more than with a supercharger, unless you have a muscle car v8 or something.
definitely turbo...there are a billion add-ons you can get to make your car more unique/fast/badass
