Default SRS Light

My friend changed his steering wheel on his 98 civic and he no longer has an airbag there so the SRS light comes on... is there a way to diable this light? also.. does the SRS light monitor anything else other than the airbag?

the OTHER airbag, if there is a passenger side one.

umm the easiest way would be to take out the bulb. wouldn't it?
at least that seems like the most obvious way and wouldn't affect the other airbag

Ya, you don't know what else could be on that circuit. Just remove the bulb.

If you have no airbags (passenger & driver) then I would either cover up the spot inside the cluster, or yank the bulb.
