Wierd brake problem, and MC mating question. HELP ME!!
As some of you may know, or might remember from the last time I posted about my F-ed up brakes... I have a 92vx with an integra brake swap f/r, teg 15/16" MC and Booster. I ran into this problem when I swapped on the MC and booster where the brakes would start dragging a little when I drive, then drag harder, and harder to the point where the wheels would practically lock.
I am *assuming* that the problem is with the brake booster (used), since the MC is new, and theres nothing wrong with the brakes themselves. I have my old vx booster and MC sitting out on the patio (they worked fine before I removed them), so I *could* just put the old 13/16" MC and civic booster back on, just to make the car drivable... But I really don't want to go with the mushy, unsettling 13/16"MC with my 4 disk setup.
So, I guess my question is, can I use my stock civic vx (disk/drum) brake booster with the 15/16" MC? When I eyeballed them, it didn't look like the MC went deep enough into the booster for there to be good thread engagement on the bolts, but its hard to say.
Please help me ASAP!!!
BTW, i'm white_n_slow, for those of you confused by the new name...

) tomorrow hopefully, or friday at the latest.
Or hopefully, I can just use my civic one :happysad:

c'mon guys... I need help here...
Let me rephrase it, so its a little easier:
those of you with a brake swap (6th gen EXs excluded, cuz they already have the right MC) Are you using your civic booster or a teg/si/ex booster?

Couple of things...
My setup (wich I have no problems with yet is..)
94 gsr brakes front, 94 gsr rear disk brake conversion
16/16ths EX MC (new)
stock DX brake booster (Should be the same as yours)
I've had no problems thus far...
one thing to check...make SURE you bled the MC if you got a new one it should have come with bleader nipples, that thread in where the hard lines connect and then some little rubber hoses. the way you do it is, thread in those bleader nipples, then hook up the MC to the booster. install the resivour (most new ones you have to re-use your old one) fill it with brake fluid, connect one end of the bleader hoses to the nipples and stick the other end down into the resivour. Have someone pump the brake pedal from inside the car untill you don't see any more bubbles. now attatch your hard lines, and blead all four brakes (starting with the back) be sure you use a brake bleader, or that you use a tube to connect to the bleader nipples and run it down into some fluid. If you need more instructions on bleading the brakes, just do a search for brake bleading on www.google.com i'm sure there are some good articles on the internet. If this doesn't fix it, then you could look at replacing your booster. But from what i know the stock cx/dx/vx boosters should work fine.
Hope this helped! Ben

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I bled it all already. I read somewhere that the 15/16" mc doesn't fit with the civic booster (tech.hybridgarage.com, I think) but that the 1" does work :dunno: seems weird that they would have different fitment.
I'm thinking I'll try my civic booster with the teg MC, and if it doesn't work, order a new teg booster and go from there... this is such a wierd F-ing problem...
Any other ideas?

'k I'm putting the civic booster and 13/15" MC back on, just because I KNOW they work. I'll have to live with the pedal travel for a little longer and just deal with it later... I called the shop, and they said they have a 1" MC, so maybe I'll pick that up an see how it works when I get a day off work.
