Default Went through a puddle

A big one... Now my car sounds louder. :squint: AEM CAI with ABV, new cat converter, stock exhaust system put back on (30k miles on it) and no CEL has come on. It's also a little bit sluggish. Any thoughts as to what it might be?

Hole in your exhaust system. I had that problem last week and I had to get it welded shut.

I just had it put back on tho cause that's what happened to my aftermarket exhaust. And it looked in great condition... I took it off the car after only 6 months or so. And it didn't start until heavy flooding last night. :dunno:

The force of the water could have pulled on the hanger which made a crack or hole. I would crawl under your car and check all the hangers.

one of the hangers could've come off which might be causing the exhaust to rattle against something... that's what just happened to me... but take a look under there like civicsiracer said

Thanks. Forgot to mention... it's not a constant sound... only when on the gas... the other exhaust leak was constant.. plus.. at higher RPMs (I forgot to check on the way to work today on the exact number) it almost sounds like it's sputtering.... would water in the exhaust system cause this?

I appriciate all the suggestions

Fixed. Water washed away the bolts and gasket holding the header to the cat.

See I knew it was something like that. Although I've never heard of the gasket and bolts coming off. They must have been loose to begin with.
