Default 205/40/16?

i was wondering if theres anything wrong w/ use 40's. is it bad for the wheel? any cons?

would 45 be better?

will the ride be noticebly bumpier w/ the 40's over the 45?

Yes the ride will be rougher on 40s. And plus your speedo and odometer would be off by alot. BUT you would get better gearing for acceleration.

I LOVE my 205/40-16s. I'm running the H rated Falken Ziexs. They're very nice tires and are on www.tires.com for $79 ea/shipped.

They have a 380 tread rating and grip very well. A quiet tire too.

I was worried about getting a 40 series tire on my 16s, but I'm very happy with them now.

I run 205/40/16's and my speedo is not off at all. I drive by one of those road side radars everyday and it's always on par with the speed I'm doing. I say get 45's though because I have ruined one set of rims and gone through three tires hitting no so big pot holes. Anyone have any experience with Hankook tires? My uncle owns a tire shop and says he can get me 205/40/16 ventus for $45.00 a tire his price (he owes me for some computer work).

Redcivic, can you get that deal for real? i'm in need of a set and i'd be more than willing to pay you for the tires + shipping.

I like my 45 series. It is the correct overall size for the plus sizing and it helps to save your rims when there is that unexpected road hazard. Also, it's my daily driver so I wouldn't want too harsh of a ride.
