i'll never understand why you would take them out, unless you're making a full blown race car.

Unplug the battery, push the brakes in a few times to dispel any eletrical buildup, then to take off the driver side you go to the bottom of the steeringwheel area, and there is a plastic pop out peice. Go in there, and remove the yellow wiring harness. Then, on the sides of the steering coluwn are two more smaller plastic peices. Using a TORX 25 head, you remove the screws that are there. I don't remember how many, but it was probably 2-3. Then, you carefully remove the bag.
To remove the passanger one remove the glove box, and then on your left there is a wiring harness. Again, disconnect the yellow peice that will be leading to the left side of the airbag as you are sitting in the car. Then, there are three screws in the front, but I don't remember their size. Remove those, then have someone help you remove it by having them push it in and up from the inside of the car, and you guide it straight up.

I just did this the other day, that's why know.

personal preferance man...

im sure you do something that others would consider dumb... not talking shit on you or anything.. but maybe you smoke cigaretes (maybe you don't) (some people would consider that stupid pointless and hazerdous) but im just saying.. for me i wanted a SMALLER wheel.. AND i hate the concept of air bags a LOT.. so for me it was a great choice.. im very happy with the outcome..

no full race car, but to ME.. more fun and enjoyable to drive..

My Sparco steering wheel is like my most favorite modified part on my car! It makes driving much more enjoyable! Such a difference in the feel.

i can understand that (i don't smoke by the way, and do think smoking is dumb, but anyway...) taking airbags to take them out is what i don't understand. upgrading a steering wheel is great, but to take them out "because i don't want to die" and stuff like that is dumb. if i had a better wheel to use which meant losing airbags, i'd do it.

eh, forget i ever said anything. h:
