Default The car work I did over the past weekend

I finally went ahead and put my skunk2 manifold and other stuff on.

Stuff installed:

Skunk2 manifold
Ericks racing Throttle body 70mm tapered to 68 mm
Skunk2 manifold was port matched to the throttle body
J's Racing Carbon Fiber Intake
Hondata Intake manifold gasket
New longer studs to go in the head (with the hondata gasket it's hard to get the nuts to thread on)
PCV Valve too
I'll have pictures up eventually.

Next stuff up for installation is:

CTR N1 crank pulley (def. going in soon)
AEM TRU Power pulley for the alternator.
GSR 1" Master cylinder
Polished valve cover

All this crap has been sitting around for a while now. I'm def. going to put it all on soon.

As for the manifold install. It was pretty straight forward. I had to extended a 2 of the sensors cause there wasn't enough slack on the harnass, and scraping the stock gasket off sucked hardcore.
I've got no check engine lights (TPS is .45xxx on idle and 4.5xxx at WOT ). I am however having issues with the ITR throttle cable and bracket I'm using. It's jut not lining up perfectly. I've ghetto'd it on, and it works, but my cable is sticking for some reason. Starting off is kinda hard, and sometimes coming to a stop the revs stay up, if i tap the gas lightly the revs go back to stock.... I can't understand what I could've done wrong.

It pulls really nicely. Throttle response is great, except for that damned throttle cable problem. The intake looks really nice. I had to give up my GSR front tower bar cause the pipe is too fat. I'll probably upgrade to the benen 3 point bar.

Another question.

I've got a chipped p28 with the JUN program. VTEC crossover is at like 5800 rpm. I'm running stock cams. You think I should try this unit out, or stick with my stock P72???

Anyways let me know what you think.

glad to see you spen tthe day working on your car too

about the ECU. have you ever ridden in a VTEC car when VTEC didnt engage? after the typical switchover point it falls on its face, i say stick w/ the P72 untill you upgrade cams, but there is no harm in trying it out.

BTW: nice list of parts.... those hondata gaskets are bad ass too, i think im gonn buy one for my GSR motor

Run the P28, see how you like it. the skunk2 IM doesn't have IAB, so the P28 will run fine.

You of course will still benefit from tuning, but I'm sure there is someone near you that can do that.

I mean right off, you may see some torque drop, if the maps are tuned for a b16. That's the problem with not knowing what your chip is doing. If it really is a JUN chip, it's a P30 ROM with mugen fuel maps (EVERYONE uses the mugen fuel maps, heehhe) So it should work fine for a B18(c)

Shoot me a PM, I can put you in touch with someone in VA, i'm sure, or burn ya chips no problems.

I'll test out the chipped p28 it pulls nicely in my friends b18c, but he's also got nice skunk2 stage 1 cams.

Either way. Up for more feedback

What about your JDM coin cup? h:

My throttle used to stick a bit too when I would take my CAI off and hit my cable. I think it kinked it or something, but it's fine now.. :dunno:

I run the GSR cable - FYI.

but you can always try it though
