Default Short Shifter Question

I was looking into a short Skunk 2 short shifter and was wondering if anyone has one? Also if you do have a short shifter did you install it yourself? Thanks for your replies.

I have the Skunk2 one. And it's pretty easy to install yourself.

On the poly bushings, the guy I talked to said he could get them for like $13.00 or so. Is it worth it and will it make that big of a difference?

I've removed and installed shifters myself. It's easy, easier on the newer (post-87) cars because they don't have the exhaust pushed right up against the bottom of the shifter IIRC.

thats a good price, make sure its either a DOHC or SOHC kit ur gettin correspondin to ur motor. its different for the two. it makes the linkage solid, no more play and gives a more positive feel to it. bushings usually go for 20 bukks max.

Cool thanks man. I will have to ask him which kit it is. This might be a stupid question but I will still ask it. I know I have a SOHC but will the DOHC bushings fit or no. I would think no but am I wrong?
