Default 50 lbs?

would it matter in a race if i could take 50lbs out of my car?
i dont think it would make much of a diff at all would it?

na, that kind of weight reduction would only be extremely helpful for a full drag car trying to get another tenth off their time.

It wouldn't hurt, but it won't do all that much for you.

Yea I didn’t think it would be worth all the trouble because that would be the only weight reduction I would do, and it is just an everyday driver

heheh... It depends on whether or not the weight is rotating mass. I'm not sure there's even 50lbs spinning in a civic drivetrain, though.

I swapped the 42lb stock wheels for 18 lb wheels on my GSX and shaved 100lbs off it. It made a huge difference, but that's all rotating mass. I doubt you could pull off a full 1/10th of a second from losing 50 lbs of dead weight.
