What model of hatchback do I have to have in order for the vtec to work properly? Does it have to be a VX or an SI?

The VX is the easiest to work with, because it is prewired for VTEC and an EGR system. However, you do not need any specific chassis for the swap. Others will only take a few more minutes to wire then a VX.
