My gf has a black 2000 EX, and the paint on the front of the hood already has literally hundreds of small cracks. I know it will start chipping within the next couple years. She bought the car new, it has never been in an accident, and I've kept a good coat of wax on it about every 3 months. The rest of the paint still looks brand new. I noticed the underside of the hood has a dull black finish, like it wasn't clear coated. Maybe it was damaged during shipment to the dealer, and fixed??? Just wondering if it is normal that black 6th gens have a dull finish on the underside, and what do you think my chances are of getting this repainted under warranty?
