215/50/15 tires
Everyone on here is running on 205/50/15 or 195/50/15 or stock 195/55/15 on theirs 15 rims. Why does anyone think of the 215/50/15? I am going get new wheels soon and I want more rubber as much as stock and a bit wider. From my calculation, the 215/50/15 is closest to my stock wheels and the 205/15 is off a bit but not much.
Here is my question, will i have any rubbing issues with these 215/50 tires with my current set up. My car is dropped on teins stech which is around 2" from and 1.8 rear .
thanks a bunch

You would need a 15x7.5" rim to fit 215/50x15" tires. 205/50x15" tires fit perfectly on a 15x7" rim and a bulging on a 15x6" rim.

I forgot to say that if iam going to get these new tires in 215/50 they will be mounted on rota rims with 40 offset and 15x6.5" wide. Will I still get any rubbing? I know that stock offset was like 45 and 15x6 wide. If its not possible or I will be rubbing then I'll just go with 205/50. Thanks all for your help.
I rub with 205/50x15" on 15x7" wheels and 15x6" wheels barely. I would imagine you would rub with 215/50x15".

I run 215/45/16 on my 94 dx coupe. 16"x 7.5 wheel. Neuspeed sports spring at a 1.8 front 1.6 rear. No rubbing but during hard cornering during autox from the back fender. Going to sell these and get 225/50/15 on rota C8's for the track. Overall diameter is 23.5 on the tire i have now. The new set will have a diameter of 23.7. Not much differance but a 1/2 inch wider with less weight. Have this thread about spring and with you running teins maybe you could answers this for me.
