this is really weird. my car is overheating but only when im idle, like sitting in traffic. but it doesnt really overheat, the temp gauge just goes into the red. i have yet to see any steam coming from the radiator. once i start going again, it drops down again. also, i just drove 2000 miles from denver to phoenix and back in like 110-120 degree heat without any problems. wtf is goin on? radiator fan works, just changed the thermostat, and a/c is not being run. any help???

 

hey man sounds like a problem i had a while ago on my DX, it was just the heat sensor might be somthin u wanna get checked out, im not sure if thats wat it is or not tho

 

sounds like either you maybe be running low on fluid, got a leak in one of your hoses or you might have a stuck thermostat.

 

check your heat temp sensor, i just replaced mine (might not be what its called) its the sensor that is plugged into the thermostat housing..50 bux, and easy to install...

when its bad it keeps from your fan turning on...
