Default que about alternator

hey guys, just a quick que. about my alt. I notice that when i turn the steering wheel or turn on any electrical device in the car (fan, a/c, lights) i hear the car's rev's go slightl lower..i was wondering if that can be the sign of my alt. going bye-bye? or is it normal on these cars? if it is the alt and have to change it, can you put in one with more amps? would it make a difference at all? let me know..thanks

No, that's normal. When you turn your wheel (if you have PS) it puts more stress on the motor because you're now using the power steering pump to work your steering.

The stress, as little as it is, causes your idle to drop slightly therefore your alt isn't putting out quite as much.

Nothing to worry about.
