if my timing is too advanced...........
would the idle be erratic?
right now its hovering between 1000 and 1200rpm
ill tighten the adjusting screw and see if it'll stop...
unless theres an intake vacuum leak...

"if your timing is too agresive" and you use shit fuel you will ping/detonate and that is not good for the car..

i reset the ecu first....then, advanced the timing two degrees....BTW its a 93EG obd1....and hour later i rolled out. well, half way to my destination ( about 10miles out)...i ended up rolling start raced another ex....dropped into 3rd@65mph (doh?)...10secs into it, CEL came on.
i got 165k on the dash...80actual on the d16z6

oh yah...BTW, once i got to my destination...i started the car 5 mins after...on CEL...but CEL came back on normal driving on the way home couple hours later....sigh....i guess ill set the timing back to stock
