engine swap---HELP!
I Dropped a d15b jdm into my civic, it did have a y7.. im having a distributor problem.. my y7 wont work and the one that came on the d15b wont work.. what do i do?? please help..
im new to this and not a mechanic, please be nice...i dont care about hp or tq.i just want my car to run again!

im not sure if the y7 distributor is compatible with the d15b, but maybe you can fix the distributor that came with the d15b. If the dizzy is not giving you spark its either the coil or the igniter unit. Dont replace those just test them first, there are how to videos on youtube. But before that I would take the dizzy cap off and file down the metal terminals with a flat file and also the metal contact points on the dizzy rotor.

i have checked both. they are both good. even the dizzy that came on the jdm d15b wont let it fire.. the plugs get spark but the car wont turn over.. i asked everyone i know. no one has a clue....

take fuel line off from rail, turn key to on position, if fuel doesnt come out when pump primes then check ecu ground, fuel pump, etc. if fuel comes out, check compression/t-belt.
