Default d16 boost question

On a stock d16z6 about how much boost can the engine safely handle?

i wouldnt go more than 5lbs on a stock engine. its all in building the engine up...

Yup depends of the fuel management. 10 with decent I'd say.

Stock D16Z6 will take about 200HP reliably but not for more than 50k or so at more than 6 or 7psi.

It's all in engine management, which will provide you w/ fuel management, proper timing, and tuning capability. From there the sky is the limit. If your trying to run your factory ecu w/ vafc "hack" I'd keep it around 7 psi.

lies i've been running 8 daily for a whole freaking year and i'm fine. Just get to a dyno and make sure your A/F is good. I've known people to run 8-10 daily for over two years before any damage.
