Default 2 turbo questions....

If a turbo has alot of shaft play, will it hurt the engine or anything else to run it? Also, is it a smart idea to use 93 octane gas on a turbo'd car? Thanks

i don't know about the first question, but the second one would be yes. you'll want a higher octane to avoid detonation.

yes if the turbo fails it could damage your engine but not all that likely. It will go bad over time and you will begin to notice the drop in performance. But depending on what type of fuel management you are running.
