fuel problem!!
hi, i have a 98 civic ex coupe, d16y8, it was so hot, so i turned on my AC for like 30mins, then when i turned it off, i noticed that my fuel guage is acting weird, when i accelerated from 1st gear, my fuel guage needle would go down and i can actually see it from going down, then when i am in 4th gear when constant speed and not pushing the gas too hard, my fuel guage would become stable, and when i do a slow down and do a complete stop, my fuel guage would go back up to where i started off with 1st gear.
I first thought it might be my AC, so i turned off the car and start it again, but no luck, after couple. then i tried the next day and its still doing the same thing.
Also when its hard, i am not getting power, when i step on the gas, the car doesn't feel like moving. The gas padel felt like no pressure on it. could something be wrong my fuel system?
Can anyone help me?
thx

sounds like a typical whacked-out honda fuel guage. all the honda that my family has owned had whacky fuel guages.
as for the lack of power, try getting a tune-up, incl replacing the fuel filter

HAH! My fuel gauge in my 93 civic is messed like that.. it'll flucuate all over the place, and my speedo is just as bad.. If I'm doing like 100k in the city and hit a bump it'll actually jump to like 102 or down to like 95 its crazy.
