I do have a boost controller, an HKS BOV, and a larger intercooler than what the kit comes with.

 

kits usually just include all the bolt on pieces that you need. never internals or comp stuff.

 

You don't *need* more than what was included in the kit. Most likely, your kit has a 12:1 FMU disk which raises fuel pressure 12psi for every 1psi of boost.

If you're running lean, then you better check out the fuel system.

 

So what kind of fuel pressure and boost is safe to run on this thing?

hrmmm he shouldn't have problems that bad even with a fmu setup. My car pulled a 14.1 @ 99 on the d16 motor motor @ 8 psi with a fmu and my plugs were kinda white but not like snow white and i was still pretty safe. I'd say get yourself some DSM injectors and an AFC pronto and get to a dyno.
