What does HX stand for?

The CVT automatic was availible (in the 6G Civic body) only in the HX. You could get it in manual or CVT automatic.

Yeah, but the CVT cars cost quite a bit more then the manuals and were still unproven so they didn't sell very many.

Yep, friends dad had one with a CVT. You could press the gas to the floor, and it would accelerate while almost remaining at the same RPM. Weird
