no problem...i had the same worries myself.

i made sure the products i used were clear coat safe, thats why i went with an auto detailer product.

you can do the goo gone, or lighter fluid..etc. but i wouldnt guarantee you'll walk away with a complete shine.

hey asiandood, i really respect you and what you've done with your civic. did you use your hand or like a machine buffer to get the outline off?

Goo gone and a rag worked the magic for me...

You can't even tell a decal was ever there

I recommend denatured alcohol. it works awesome. also because your car is 7 years old and due to sun fadding there will be like a ghost image of the badge left over. don't worry about it just buff like mentioned above. after a few waxes and as time goes by it should fade.

damn man you read my screen name and then just skipped my post?

re-read it I laid it all down for you. I have done this on a 94 accord and 99 hatch.

this is typically what autobody places use for goo removal. they actually make a nice wax stripper/goo remover that you cam buy at AZ. other than that wax is abrasive enough to usually clean up the outline, or i have a big ol bottle of buffing compound which works awesome

hairdryer though, that sounds like a ****ty way to go about it?

I manually removed it with a terry cloth towel. The area was then washed and rewaxed afterwards.

i only used it to soften the adhesive up so it would be easier to peel... too long on the area will melt the paint.
