2 damn dark

i currently have a DX distrubutor mounted b/c my EX distrubutor went out....the car feels "weaker", lack for a better word....probably my timing if off since i replaced it.

question is:...any power/volt difference between an DX auto distributor and my EX manual distributor?

which brings up other questions:

any way i can check and rule out what components of my EX distributor are faulty? (i.e. igniter, coil)...prices?

Your best bet is to get a repair manual for your car. I did and it tells you tests you can do for your coil and ignitor. You will also need a voltmeter if you do this.

They should be very different. One's from a VTEC car, one is not. Aren't they wired differently? Compare them.
