I had the Tokico Blues on my last CRX and they are not as nice as the KYB AGX. Tokico Blues are'nt as stiff as I would have liked... I would go with the KYB AGX's unless you have extra money around, cuz the Tokico Illumina's are superior.
what springs are you riding on? if i were to install some aftermarket shocks on my civic, should i change the springs?

now is the kyb a better set of shocks for 40 dollars more than the tokicos?

tokico charges almost twice as much for their shocks to be adjustable. i dont' know if this mean they make a better shock/strut than kyb or what

tokico blue- about 280

kyb agx- about 330

(why such a big differnece?)

tokico ilumina- about 4xx

tokico blue is a OEM replacement. the shocks will not last long on drops that are 1.5 inches or more.

KYB AGX are externally adjustable. they are better for the buck...but their waranty does not guarantee drops more than 1.5 inches.

the Tokico Illumina and the Koni Sport (yellow) can handle more extreme drops (2+ inches). they are made to withstand sport/performance applications. ....hence the higher price.

I was in the same situation last week. I found out that tokico blues are not adjustable and the agx's are good but the illuminas are better. I found a guy on this post who sold me the illuminas for $325 shipped. But I have heard very good things about the Agx and never seen anyone complain bout um.
