hi... i just got into the del sol game yesterday... while looking for a car... under 1000

im into car audio and was wondering, if i were to get a del sol... would the subs have to go behind the seats? cuz so far in all the pictures that i've seen.... thats were the subs were at... can u put them in the trunk? is there enough space?

 

Dude you can fit a coupla bodies in the trunk. Yeah subs will fit back there.

I used to have a pic of my b/f curled up in the trunk...don't have it NEmore. But yeah, you'll definately have space.

i thought that for some reason... putting subs in the trunk of a del sol was avoided...

 

You can put them in the trunk, but the sound quality will suffer. All the best setups I've seen had custom mounts behind the seats somewhere.

 

I think JL Audio makes a kit that replaces the glove boxes behind the seats. That way you dont take up space in your trunk or whatever for speakers. It's NICE.

 

And who really uses those gloveboxes anyway? There's enough room behind the seat for spare stuff anyway...

 

hey i have another question....

when u take the targa top off the car.. where do most of you guys put it???

my friend has a T-top (is that the same thing as a targa top?) turbo MR2 and when he takes the glass off he puts it behind his seat ... is that where the glovebox is behind the seat that your talking about?

 

the frame in the trunk locks the top into place...

The top goes in the trunk. Theres a rack that it locks into. Theres also a little handle that lets you lift the rack up when the trunk is open to get underneath it.
