MP3 of my exhaust doing 0-80mph (LOUD)
Get ready to laugh. I have attached a zipped MP3 to this message that you've got to hear.
I'm fixing this soon, but I had to record this because it's just too darn funny. This is what a straight exhaust sounds like from a D15B7 with no catalytic converter, and no muffler going 0-80mph. I wound it all the way to 6800 in both gears. The top of 2nd gear is 71 mph in my car. Yes, the clip is 20 seconds long. It's a 1.5L, what do you expect?
Cold Air Intake
D15B7 .020 over
stock manifold
'88CRX downpipe
factory mid-pipe
straight 1 7/8" pipe where the muffler used to be
The recording was done on a G3 Wall Street laptop, with a Apple Desktop Mic that was pinned to the tailgate by the hatch glass almost 2 feet above the exhaust pipe.
Pics of this 1.5L can be found in this thread...

I hope this works If there's no attachment, then I guess I did something wrong. If that happens, feel free to laugh at me instead of my car.
Enjoy!

Ya, I was surprised, too... very tractor-like at low RPM's. And I don't mean lawn tractor, either... more like the ones you see around cows and corn fields, etc. It sounds like a much bigger engine than it is.
