friend gave me black-housing projectors for my 93 EX for free

nice of him, even though we all know H3 suxs ass :thumbup:

but to the point...any personal preferences to H3 blubs? or projectos mods using european/german counterparts?

You could say that this is debatable. In order for you to have decent lighting on the road, you have to up the wattage of the bulb. And most likely you'll end up buying new bulbs every other week.

If you must use the projectors, I recommend using either Piaa or Raybrig bulbs. I was using Piaa's Hyperwhite 80/55 watt bulbs with no problem. They looked good on the car, but didn't do well when the weather got foul. If you want, match them up with a set of fogs to get more light on the road.

Other than that, I'd suggest going back to stock. h:

I love my black projectors, (Look at pic in sig) but in Fog or Rain, they suck a$$. That is why I'm gonna retrofit them with my Audi S4 projector lenses. Speak with MaxBoost on this.

If you use higher wattage bulbs, see if your friend can give you the wire harness as well.
