what engine does a 98 civic ex coupe come with?
i know this is basic but i need to know, sohc?, 1.6l?, vtec?

yes it is a sohc 1.6 vtec. dont know the exact code though.

awesome, thanx. my friend was trying to tell me that this 98 civic ex wasnt a vtec because the spark plugs were not in the center of the valve cover.

oh yea, this civic also only has honda written on the valve cover. it doesnt say vtec on it. does that mean its not a vtec or honda just didnt write vtech on the engine for this year.
