some people told me the del sol was heavier than the 99 civic by like hundreds of pounds because it needed more structural support because of the removable top. guess they were wrong, friggin' retards.

Don't know it it helps, but the A3 has 250 more revs. Yeah it's not a lot, just wanted to point it out.
del Sol SOHC's can hang with Si's. DOHC will beat it.

haha riiight...since when can del sol sohc's hang with vtec del sols? Maybe with a badass driver from 0-60 but after 3rd gear the B16 will still walk the sohc. When i was i/h/e in my 00 ex i pulled stock and bolton si's till about 60-70 and their 3rd would always beat some ass.
