Default problem please help

hey i just bought a 02 civic si and i understand that the si and the rsx type s have the same motor in them however the civic has only 165hp while the rsx has 204hp i was curious as to see what the difference was in the motors components that would make such a difference in the horsepower of each vehicle, please let me know because if it is something as simple as the fuel injectors or something to that effect then i would like to upgrade my car and get the extra horses, thanx

i think the si only has the ivtec on the intake side and the rsx-s has it on both intake and exhaust. or is it the base rsx has it on intake and the s has it on both?

its nothing little. not like you could just "change it out". you would have to tear the block down and change components
