Default Auto - Manual Tranny Switch

Ok.... I am wondering if there are instructions anywhere on the net for an Auto-Manual swap for a 97 Civic/EX, not necessarily for my exact model, but for a civic in general?

I know this has been a beaten-to-death topic, I DID do a search... I was just wondering if there is a step-by-step for us idiots in the world.

A Helms manual should help. Some1 in the Integra posted a link to EK manual a couple of days ago.

If you consider yourself an"idiot" I would'nt even attempt to do this swap. IMO it would make alot more sense to sell your car and buy manual.

There is a short guide for the conversion in a civic out there...I saw it and skimmed through it a while back, but I didn't save it or bookmark it, sorry.

Really though, selling your car and buying a manual is probably cheaper and less of a hassle. That said, I have performed a similar swap in an older BMW...

I imagine it could be both more complicated and less complicated in a civic.

actually, tranny swaps on EKs arn't as hard as, say, EG's.

I don't have any links for info, but all you need is the parts and the tranny. It bolts right in, no welding/rebraketing/whatever.

A shop here would actually do it if you have a Manual Tranny + $50 or so for installation.

I didnt mean an idiot as far as cars, I meant I need instructions usually to do stuff... but if it is more of just a matter of bolt-off, bolt-on than I should be able to figure it out. Instructions would just help a whole hell of a bunch for me.
