Default What engine to use

I have a 1994 Honda Civic HB and am confused oin what engine to drop. I want something fast and with good compression in order to put in a t27 turbo. I also dont want anything too heavy such as an H22. In other words I want to run 10's or even less and also have a good street car to cruise.

i thought the ls (b18b) was better for turboing, not as much power to start off with though

Funny, I don't know of any Big turbo guys running B18C1's. The GSR motor is good for all motor but not the best for boost. Oh, and your on crack if you think you can drive a 10 second Honda daily. besides, if you have enough cash to run 10's in a Honda, then get a real sports car.

Um, I beg to differ. I know a guy who lives in SLC that had a 499 whp (and growing) Civic Hatch that ran 10.8's at 4,000+ft. He drove it as a daily as well, so...

I'd say you need to pick one. Do 10's or have a daily driver. You might be able to get into the 10's, but I wouldn't want to drive that car on a daily basis. Even though you could, it'd be uncomfortable to me, not to mention the increased maintenance. A 12 sec daily driver is one thing, but 10's!:squint:

I think sports cars are a waste of time when a reliable car like a honda can beat it any time. Yes I do have the $$ to upgrade my car from the ground up, well at least $8,000
