Those cars are bada§§. But for so much money, why not just buy a S2000 or a Mustang if you don't like Honda.

I'll be the first to admit that the guys on this board can be immature at times. Hell, I know I am at times. But please don't come to a Honda board, and just rip on hondas. That's just not cool, man. Aside from that, since you live in Europe, why do you want to see americans build a rear wheel drive or mid engine sol? Honestly, I don't care what people build in other countries, I don't care what the guy down the street is building for that matter. I care what is under my hood, and what I have done with it. I do look at what others have done to get ideas for future projects. I help out my local peeps with their projects, etc. And frankly, cars are cars. It's all what you want to do with them. If I wanted to go fast in a straight line, I'd get a domestic, but if I want a smal car that can handle, a honda or a mazda is the way to go. I'll work on anything with an engine, some without! But keeping up with the Jones' is stupid. There will always be someone with more money, and more horse power. And with a big company like Top Fuel footing the bill, how can you expect that a single person or group can afford to convert something like that? It's ignorance on your part. So, please redirect your childish name calling, and let our small community help eachother the way we best see fit.

Default Finally, a worthy response

I stated my position because I prefer to be direct. I don't think I'm a kingshit to any degree. In general, I don't like Hondas but I have always wanted a Del Sol. Thats why I am in THIS forum and not any others.

I'm not ripping on Hondas. I just stated factual information and my general dislike for the marque. Also, I am a Suzuki bike man, so I have a natural dislike of Honda in general.

Aside from that, since you live in Europe, why do you want to see americans build a rear wheel drive or mid engine sol?

I live in Japan and I drive an R32 Skyline. My car is quick but others blow me away like I'm going in reverse. I know there are people faster. There is a guy with a 10-second Civic somewhere on this board, and I know that car is faser than mine.

As to why I would liek to see a mid-engine Del Sol? Its bad ass! Del Sols are bad ass. RWD is better in racing than FWD (until you spend a lot more money than you paid for the car new) and a mid engine configuration in a car that small is very Lotus like. I'm into performance not ricing out cars. And, I don't care what marque a car is, fast is fast.

Also, a mid-engine Del Sol would be perfomance oriented and maybe more Honda people would turn away from stuff like APC offerings. And, the reason I posted above about the cost of the Civic here is because why have a FWD car for $10,000USD when you can have GTR Skylines, Supras, EVOs, WRXs, Laurals, etc for the same price. Would you people here spend $10,000 on a Daewoo or an NSX?

Honestly, I don't care what people build in other countries, I don't care what the guy down the street is building for that matter. I care what is under my hood, and what I have done with it. And, I'm trying to help out too. I was obvious to me in my first post. Why the hell would someone be a troll when information and help is being offered? Some people here just can't read.

If I wanted to go fast in a straight line, I'd get a domestic, but if I want a smal car that can handle, a honda or a mazda is the way to go.

Perhpaps. 1/4 mile gets old after awhile. Its simply and acceleration test. Circuit racing, togue, and drifting tests everything about the car and the driver.

Easily, its not THAT hard. It is if you're a kid with a part time job and no mechanical ability. But, if you have some money to spare and the mechanical know-how, it can be done. Its not impossible. Just cut out the rear trunk, fabricate and engine mount, install the engine, cool it. I know there are more details to do than this short list.

I just posted the information so that people in the US would have it and maybe do something with it. I don't have the info right now to the 650hp Civic that killed Skylines, Supras, EVOs at Tsukuba but if I did, I'd probaly post that as well.

It's ignorance on your part. So, please redirect your childish name calling, and let our small community help eachother the way we best see fit.
No, I'd say its more of a misunderstanding on your (people in general here) part. I came here to post useful information and got met with childishness. The reason I asked about other Del Sol boards not populated by kids is because I have been around enough Honda kids to last me a lifetime. I don't think this is the only Del Sol board on the net, and that is why I asked.

I hope my position is clear now and all the attitude people move along.

or if you have bills to pay, a family to support, and dont feel like spending a lot of money on something that really isn't that cool and pretty much pointless

Pointless? So, fart can mufflers, Nissan look-a-like bodykits, Altezza tail light, blinking washer lights, stock engine yet out racing is the point of Honda people?

damn all ya guys need to just chill...

i dont see anything wrong with his first post, he didnt directly call anyone of us a kid nor he say he hate honda, he just stated his opinion that he not a FAN of honda, and he like AWD and RWD, but he think a del sol with rwd be cool, so he was just letting people here know that its possible and been done to a del sol,..etc..

so i see no need to flame on the guy
