Would any B-series 5spd Tranny fit a B16A engine? because i heard that there are some people that has a GSR tranny with a B16A motor. I checked the B16A tranny and its $650, i was hoping if a GSR tranny fits that it would be cheaper.

 

The b16a tranny is a cable tranny. You need a hydraulic one. The only B series trannies that youw ant to stay away from are the old B20a5's from the old preludes, and any cable trannies. Other than that, they should all work dandy. If you do get a cable tranny, you can always get the cable/hydro conversion for a few hundred. And as a side note, gsr trannies are not cheap.

 

yeah i think im stuck getting the B16A 5spd Hydraulic tranny for $650, these things cost half as much as a whole setup!!!!! there are sharks out there, they know what we want so the antie-up the price. a**holes

yeah, it's been done before, but It's not reliable.

 

if its done correctly by people who know what they are doing it is the best set up for a civic in my opinion, if you'd like, i can back that up...
