Default Brake conversion

in the 2000 civic EX, would i have to change the master cylinder to an SI one. on the EX its 7/8 while the SI is 15/16. would it make a difference? also would i have to change the proportioning valve too? i dont want to mess with the brake lines too much

the only reason people would change the MC is b/c they upgraded to bigger calipers and rotors to accomodate more fluid movement. changing your m/c on a stock setup would only lead to locking the brakes easier.
