hey guys and gals... those of you with rota rims... what kind of lugnuts are you guys using? which brand should i get?

 

i went with the McGuard Splinedrives in black.

 

From what I've seen, the McGuard Splinedrives are pretty good. I don't have Rotas myself, but I've had no problems with regular ol' Gorilla locks. The McGuards are cool though because of their rotating contact surfaces.

 

I have Splinedrives too but they are a pain sometimes especially when you are changing tires every weekend.

I use Axas lightweight lugs which are 1/2 the weight of most lugs

 

humm.. where would i be able to find them at for a cheap price? what about the kyougen lug nuts? anyone use those? i probably misspelled it... but oh well it's FRIDAY!

 

i used the kyokugen lugnuts for 2 years. i know a lot of people have had problems with the key stripping. i personally had NO problems with the key. the only thing that worried me was that the key always stuck to the lugnuts after taking/putting them on/off. they are a pretty decent lugnut for a good price.


i recently moved over to the McGuard Splinedrives b/c they were closed ended lugs and had a steel key and rotating base.

 

where can I find some McGuard Spindledrives and what's the going rate?

 

modacar.com has them for special order. you have to give them a call. ask for adam and mention if you can get a HAN discount. i got my kit from there. they go for $79 for 16 4 lug applications. the kit comes with lugs, key, pouch for key, and valvestems.

 

sweet... but need deep pockets first...
