adjusting my civic headlight beams
I am trying to adjust my headlights so that they do not point in a "v" away from my car, a 98 Honda Civic LX. Anyone know how to move them right or left or up and down, plz let me know.
Thanks,
John

there are adjusting screwes u have to either pull tighter or make loser that move the headlights forward backwards and side to side, its a bitch to adjust them correctly, park in front of a big brick wall with a long screw driver and have fun for half an hour.

yeah, i did
Yeah, I fixed it. It was pretty easy once i figured it out. I just had to turn those two gears far enough with a phillips head screw driver.
Thanks,
John

hi,
i have 00 civic. i'm not too sure if this will adjust sideways or up-down.
there's one knob above the headlight, and when you use philip screw, you will automatically move 2 gears (one small and one big). anyone knows what does this do? up-down or sideways?
thanks

Sure guys,
just take a long phillips head screwdriver and put it straight down b/t the little hole in the frame of the car (immediately after the headlight housing) (in the upper tie bar) and keep going until it touches the gears. I think that one (on the outside more) adjusts the up and down. To go left and right (which might be up or down), go more from the middle of the car, near the grille, at angle to teh headlight.
If you are standing looking at the headlights from the front of the car, point the screwdriver at about a 45 degree angle to the left and you'll find the adjustment on thh left headlight (ur left b/c ur looking at it from the front) close to where the light frame narrows.
If this isn't good enough, post another thread and i'll help best i can.

I have a 2004 civic and I need to adjust the headlight at the passenger side, there's a symbol U&D at the upper front of the headlight (near the grill) and L&R at the side (near the fender) but the only gear that a saw is in the middle of the two and it needs a wrench instead of a philips screwdriver to turn it. Is there anybody that can help me figure this thing out?
