1997 Civic EX
So what springs and shocks did you get? If you want to keep the sleeper look but add a bit of style you could add something like an SI lip to the front or even maybe a CTR lip in front and back. You can find knock offs for the 2 door. Just a suggestion

thats a great buy....in dallas cars are cheap. i just bought a 97 EX coupe with 90K, with 16" enkei R6's toyo's, HKS dragger exhaust, AEM CAI, AEM Fuel system, AEM pulleys ans cams(gears and shafts) Tokicko 5 way shocks, 1.25" drop w/ skunk 2's, and a nice dry NOS system for 6500. badass stereo system aslo. come to dallas!
Pulled the scary clear tails off and installed the stock set. Much better! The springs should be replaced this week as soon as my friend calls me back about the tire he back-ordered for me. I found the front passanger tire tred almost bald on the inside. Had it realigned and swapped to the rear till the new one shows up. I'm thinking Eibach or Neuspeed. Need to do some more research first.

Yeah I'd love to find me some 99-00 tail lights. I might be heading to Japan this winter for Obon (wife is Japanese) and I think I'll pick me up a set at one of the many scrap yards. Should only cost about 2000 yen (roughly $20) for the tails, no more than 5000 yen.
Any suggestions on springs? I'm rolling with 16's and 205R40 tires. The offset looks kind of extreme and I'm wondering how low I should go and not have to worry about tire rub. A little is ok on tight turns but I don't want anymore than the occasional rub. What do you think?

LOL! Yeah it's pretty bad, but for $5K I'm not gonna whine too much. New tires and rims will come later my problem is to lower it with out too much rubbing. Money is tight right now and I can afford springs but a whole set of rims with tires (that I want) is out of the question for a few months (at least) since I dropped $5K cash on the car. I'm thinking 1" to 1.5" drop for now, I'll go a little lower with different springs when I save up some more cash for the rims and rubber which may be as long as six months since the vacation plans are in the works.
The stock trim and mud guards will have to go too I think. The stock spoiler is staying for now, I kind of like it. I don't like whale tails so it's the stock spoiler or no spoiler.
