Default Sol advice

How easy is it to get an imported CRX Del Sol in the US...or just convert a Del Sol to drive on the right side...if I were to get it imported about how much would it cost? would a B16a engine swap fit in a car with the steering on the right easily? and whats the difference between a b16a2 and b16a3? which is better for upgrades and less maintence?...also I have a "bottomless pit" of money right now...not really...I have about 30,000 to spend and I wanna do it right...just gotta get my Sol first...I could get a different car but I really love the Sol...also...is it possible to switch it to rear wheel drive or is that a stupid idea? also, would I be able to get a b16 up to 300HP/redline of 9000...if so would I have to get different axles and what would I have to do? One last thing...what does it take to install a button starter like in the S2000?

There is a guy who used to post here that did a RHD conversion, as well and import and install the transtop. I think it took him like eleventy billion years to do it. It is A LOT of work.

Check out his profile on Team Sol's website

Also, the RWD idea is cool, but it would require an insane amount of cutting, custom fabrication and skill in those departments. The only Sol I know of that is RWD is a Sol owned by the Tuner in Japan called Top Fuel. They put a turbocharger B16 in the trunk of a Sol.

I have an email address of a guy that does importing of cars. You pay the total cost of the car, and shipping is genereally about 2000. Then having the engine put back in, licensing it, etc.

Engine in the trunk...thats crazy...

Looks expensive too; I doubt it's worth it.

rear wheel drive is possible. There's a guy here in Tampa that has a CRX, and at the track this stang was flexing on him. The stang owner about shit his pants when he spun his back tires and smiled from ear to ear. He put a 2.0 ltr engine and made rear wheel drive CRX. I think you have to redo the tranny so that it's all backwards ... like 5th is 1st ... dunno though.
