Whoa whoa whoa... Just because he wants a kit, a lip kit, or just a lip for his car doesn't mean it's slow, or will ever be. Some people want their cars to look good, then go for speed. honestly, cosmetic things are the easiest to do on a car, and the engine tuning/upgrading isn't hard, but IS more time/money consuming. Maybe he's getting the other stuff out of the way first. MAybe he just wants a good looking car that handles well, and is still a daily driver. You don't know what he wants, and you shouldn't shun him for what he wants. (unless it's altezzas ) Maybe he thinks you're stupid for buying a compact car and sinking a ton into the engine, when for the same price you could have gotten a used BMW that would kick it's ass.
