Default Rims, tires, drop...

I'm finally getting around to putting a little money into my car. Problem is, I can't decide on rims or tires, or how low to go with a drop. I'm figuring I'll be lowering it ~1.8-2", but I can't decide what rims to buy. I'd like to keep it to around $700-$750 for tires and rims. Any ideas? BTW, it's a '97 HX...

Also, how much should I try to sell the HX rims for? All are in great condition, except one of them got curbed this winter

Thanks for all the help...

I'd recommend a 1.8" drop (Neuspeed sport springs) but ifyour serious about handling then get a full coil over kit (Tein, JIC, etc.)

As for wheels and tires, 15 or 16 inch rims are good. Something light weight but it's ulimately up to you. Tires I can't help you with as I have stock rims still and run crappy all seasons on them.

You could try going to groupbuycenter and find the suspension parts that you need. I don't know if you're going for coilovers or just lowering springs, but I'll bet you'll find what you need there. CashisEG8 could hook you up with a set of wheels and tires. I'd recommend a set of 16's.

I would go with sixteens also. That is what i have and they look great. I just need to get rid of the 4x4 look by dropping it. I would say if you can afford to keep your HX wheels and use them as winter wheels. That way you can put summer tires on the new ones you get.

I would drop at least 1.8" and depending on your tastes on styles maybe you might wanna consider 18's That's probably just me though... but if your thinking 1.8" drop on 15's that would be crazy.

I'm planning on 16s with a 1.8 or so, but I can't decide what model of rims to get. I'd like to get something fairly inexpensive, but something that still looks good and is good quality...

I'd go with ROTA's...cheap, strong, and they don't look bad.

PM me after you figure out which set you want
