Default got a new exhaust.....

well i had an apexi WS catback on my car since i bought it and i liked it, but the guy i bought the car off of (also the owner of my shop) just got ahold of another 5th gen hatch w/ an LS (camo paint and all ) and he couldnt stand how loud the exaust that was on the car was (a thermal) so he called me and asked if i wanted to trade. at first i was a bit reluctant but i was down the shop the other day and im buying a DC header off my other buddy that is from an LS so it has a longer downpipe anyway, meaning id have to cut and weld my test pipe, which i didnt really feel like doing being that my car need inspected in like 2 months anyway. so i mentioned how id like to get a high flow cat, and he herd me so he puts up the offer to buy me a hi-flow cat if i trade him exhaust's so i figure ok what the hell and took his money and bought the cat.

so i stop down the shop today and he wanted to get it done today but i didnt go pick up the cat yet, so we just traded the exhausts tday and hes going to put on my header and peld some flanges on my hi-flow another day.

anyway damn this thing is loud, it sounds great but is just plain loud but i figure my car is pretty fast so i guess i might as well let people know. its going to get anoying though i can tell, o well i'll deal with it cause i got a free hi-flow

damn i think this is the longest post i ever typed sorry guys

Ha ha, damn you. I wanted to hear your WS, I've been thinking about selling my Thermal and getting a WS. If you'd like to quiet that sucker down, consider converting to a stealth system. When I did mine, it cost $40 and UPS picked up the muffler section from my house, polished it and send it back in about 2 weeks.

HybridHonda:i know its probably loud but you're also use to hearing the WS which is pretty quiet,..after hearing that for so long,.hearing your new exhaust is gonna be loud as shit,..i drive my widebody daily,..i listen to the WS all day,..the other day i drove my friends Integra with the Racing medallion,..that bish was so loud to me,...but i remember in the past it wasnt that loud,..its just because im use to listening to the WS

Andy: get the WS,..you will love it,..i wouldnt give up mine unless im gonna boost my motor

Default Exhaust Question

Ok, here's an exhaust question if you don't mind - I am upgrading my 97 civic ex's exhaust. I already have a Cold Air Intake and want to get a muffler that isn't TOO loud. Is the obx b5 deafening? I mean it has the silencer and all...

dude dont get a muffler or axelback, get a full stainless catback its more money but you wont have to rebuy a decent exhaust when you relize that a muffler is a waste of money
