17" rota attack, lightweight
i love 17" wheels on my ride, but don't want to sacrifice the acceleration, i saw a groupbuy for these wheels that weight only 15.5 lbs for a 17". anyone know if this wheel will fit a 205/40/17 tire? thanks
is this a trick question?
well, the 17 at the end of the number...thats how many HP it takes to break the tires loose and smoke on dry pavement....you better make sure you get a 17 inch 205/40/17 then u b smokin those off there!@# :fawk:

real answer:
205=tire width in mm, 40=%of width that sidewall is,(ZR)sometimes found here is the speed rating of the tire...17(the last #) is the size of the hole in the tire, IE, what size rim is needed to fit the tire.

sorry didn't want to sound ignorant, because I was under the impression that a 205/40/17 wheel was a 7" wide wheel, but the rota attacks are 7.5", hence that is why I was asking the question. So, anyone still have a clear nonjackass answer?
