i did mine with no experiance or mechanical knowledge. it's a lot of fun as long as you keep it that way and don't get frustrated. as long as you get a complete changeover kit and pick a motor that goes into your car kind of easily you'll be alright. and there's a million people on HAN who can tell you whatever you need to know.
I did my first one with no prior experience. It was easy IMO. My cousin and I also did hi turbo kit and wiring on his RSX with no prior turbo install experience.
The first 2 swaps I did, I was drunk off my ass, and never had a problem. Both were my cars. Other people's cars I do sober. Mine, why not have a few?!?!?!
I would definately recommend you pick up a helm's manual for yoru car and one for your motor (compare wiring if you have to). Each will have about a 5-7 page section where they explain how to remove and install and engine (very helpful). Before I did my first swap I had just done intakes, exhaust and brake pads.
