turn on car. let it idle for 10 minutes w/o touching teh gas.. turn it off, take off the negative terminal for 5 minutes. put it back on, start it up and let it idle for 10 minutes w/ touching the gas. turn it off and then back on

ive also heard you can disconnect the negative and positive terminals and hold them together for 30 seconds but ive never tried it.

i missed that part.

i don't think there's a way to do it without disconnecting the battery, so therefore that questions is unanswerable.

All you have to do is turn the car off, pop the hood and go to the fuse box (In my 98 Civic its by the firewall on passenger side). Pull the fuse that says "Extra" or "Aux" (sorry, can't remember what it says exactly), its a 15amp fuse. Let the car sit for 10-20 seconds and then pop it back in and go.

and then you can always reset EVERYTHING by taking out the 80AMP master fuse . . . lol.

how many computer geeks does it take to reset an ecu?

theres a fuse either under your dash or hood. find the fuse and pull it out. Let me know if you're radio stations are still programmed in.
