Default help with h22 immobilizer

Is there some way to by pass the immobilizer? I have a 99 prelude type sh(h22) engine, I'm trying to put it in a 96 civic cx. My friend told me i can't put this engine into my civc cuase it has an immobilizer, but i have seen other guys with the same engine into the same car. Can anyone help me?

Yep, I have a 98 H22A4 in my 92 Prelude and there is 2 ways to bypass it.

1. Do the swap. Go to Honda and ask them to copy you a red key and program it to work with your 99 ECU. You do have to have the ignition key hole from the 99 installed on your lude also. Or somewhere else and always leave the key in it.

The situation above will cost you though. $60 for just copying a key. Then price of reprograming it? I'm not sure on the price.

2. You said it. Use a '92-'95 H22A ECU and you'll be fine. That's what I'm using.
