Adding switches in your dash...
Does anyone know a good tutorial with pics or without pics where I can see how I would add a switch for lights and accessories into a civic...
they have those places to add them, the free rectangle shapes... and I'm wondering how to put a switch in that place...
let me know! thanks!

depends on what your adding,...if your adding stock switches then they just go in with out modifications,...if you are adding switches that you buy from say autozone then you will need to drill holes for the switches to fit....a dremel is your friend

like they're... "closed off" behind the blank ones...
do i just cut those out to fit the switch's box behind it?

What about like the things that are behind them.. they look like plastic barriers, the other ones are set up for an electric switch to go behind it... it's hard to explain...

so they just push out and you can just dremel out a area for what you want
you shouldnt have any issues with barriers if it has a stock location

i am adding those switches that light up... the red ones... but only the box seems to light up... maybe cuz it's daytime when i tried it, but when only the switch is sticking out, do you think they'll glow too?
i usually just cut away a little bit of that "barrier" your talking about,...okay there is a rectangle,..behind it is the "barrier",...if you must,...cut away the sides of the barrier that will not affect the rectangle from staying in place when put back to its location
