Tire Size?
I currently have 17's with 215/40/17 wheels. I have my fenders rolled but I still rub the plastic a bit under hard corning. I am downgrading to 16's and I would like to know what u guys would recommend for tires? I was thinking 215/45/16 or would I be better with 215/50? or 205 something?

215 is wider.....
The first number measuers width, middle number measures height and third is obviously diameter.
I have 215/45/17 on my car now, they're horrible. I am getting 205/40/17 in a couple weeks hopefully.
And NO, do not put 50 series tires on that, especially if it's lowered, or if you plan to. Stick with 40.

205/45x16" would keep your odometer and speedo accurate. Going with a 215/45x16" is too wide and large and would most likely rub. 215/40x17" is also too wide - the correct size is 205/40x17"

I want to get more tire on there because the streets around here are horrible. So if anything I think I'm going to get 205/45. That way I won't feel so abd when I get a pothole. Cause I know its going to happen. My rims now are getting all bent up. Will my cornering not be as good with 45's?
